Founded in 1995, Pemba Islamic College has been a leader in teacher education in Tanzania. Our diploma programs are designed to prepare competent, compassionate educators who can meet the diverse needs of learners in today's classrooms.

Pemba Islamic College offers three specialized diploma programs in education, each designed to prepare graduates for specific teaching roles in Tanzania's education system.
This comprehensive program prepares educators to teach in primary schools (Standards 1-7). Graduates are equipped with the skills to deliver the national curriculum effectively while integrating Islamic values.
Specialized training for educators working with children from birth to 8 years old. Focuses on developmental stages, play-based learning, and creating nurturing early learning environments.
Prepares educators to work with learners with diverse abilities and backgrounds. Focuses on creating inclusive classrooms that accommodate all learners regardless of their individual differences.
Admission to our diploma programs is competitive, based on academic qualifications and commitment to the teaching profession.
Submit completed application form with required documents by March 31, 2024.
Academic certificates and supporting documents are reviewed by admissions committee.
Candidates are selected based on academic merit and suitability for teaching.
Successful candidates complete enrollment by June 30, 2024.
